Feeding Directions

For free choice feeding to dairy heifers and calves.  Offer free choice in covered mineral feeders or troughs located near the animals water supply and loafing areas.  Fill feeders with a quantity of BURKMANN DAIRY MINERAL that will be consumed in seven days.  Insure that small calves can reach the trough.  Maximum trough height should be 20 inches.  DO NOT feed additional salt or mineral.

CAUTION:  Three ounces of this mineral provides 3 mg selenium.  Feeding higher levels of selenium is not permitted.

May be used as a mixing mineral for lactating dairy cows.  Intended feeding rate is 4-5 ounces per head per day.  Mix according to the directions provided below.

Not recommended for dry cows.  For dry cows use BURKMANN DRY COW DAIRY MINERAL or DRY COW SUPREME MINERAL.

Precautions

CAUTION:  Do not permit intake of this mineral above that which would provide more than 0.3 ppm of selenium in the total ration dry matter.   Feeding higher levels of selenium is not permitted.
Not recommended for sheep.
